Your Timber Joinery Expert

Window Reno LTD is a Taranaki-owned business dedicated to breathing new life into your timber windows and doors. We specialise in high-performance upgrades and repairs, ensuring your home’s charm is preserved while improving energy efficiency and functionality.

How we work

At Window Reno LTD, we’re more than just a glazing company — we handle the full timber joinery process, ensuring the best results for your home.

  • We carefully remove your old single-glazed glass and replace it with a new, energy-efficient double-glazed unit (IGU). You have access to modern options like Low E and argon, and we fit them seamlessly into your original timber sash.

  • While we’re there, we assess and repair or replace any damaged timber to ensure lasting durability and performance.

  • We upgrade your hardware with high-quality stainless steel or, if preferred, polish your existing brass fittings to restore their original shine.

  • To improve insulation and prevent drafts, we fit UP foam weather/draft seals onto your timber beading.

  • To complete the transformation, we give everything a fresh coat of paint, ensuring the joinery looks as good as it performs.

  • Your original timber joinery will go from outdated and drafty to a modern, high-performance version — all while preserving its character and charm.

About Founder

A smiling carpenter holding a wooden frame in a workshop, wearing a gray T-shirt and red ear protection headphones around his neck.

Window Reno LTD was started by Anders Roeed, a carpenter and joiner with over 17 years of experience in the building trade. Originally from Norway — where just about every home has timber windows — Anders brought his skills to New Zealand and saw a clear gap in the market.

Most glazing companies only do the glass. They don’t deal with repairs, don’t do paint, don’t seal the drafts, and don’t finish the job. That leaves you chasing other trades and still not getting the full benefit of what you paid for.

So Anders started Window Reno to do the whole thing: repairs, upgrades, glazing, sealing, and finishing. All in one go.

Why Timber?

It all starts with your original timber joinery — and no, it’s not rubbish. In fact, it’s usually worth keeping. Some of the best windows in the world are made from timber, and for good reason. Timber has excellent thermal properties and, with the right upgrades, it can outperform many modern alternatives.

We believe most existing timber joinery doesn’t need replacing — just improving. With the right repairs, glazing, and sealing, we can turn what you’ve got into something really special.
